and Processing

Overview

Our expertise in the gas space is unrivalled in this jurisdiction. Our lawyers have been at the forefront of major developments in the policy, regulatory and commercial landscape for gas in Nigeria and also advising on a number of significant gas projects including projects that qualify as “firsts” in the West African Region such as the first regional gas pipeline in West Africa (the West African Gas Pipeline) and the first Gas-to-Liquids project in Africa (the Escravos Gas-to-Liquids Project). Our clients value the depth and breadth of our experience, our insider knowledge of the intricacies of developing gas commercialization projects, our solid understanding of the risks across the entire value chain and the unique perspectives that we bring to their projects and transactions.

We are routinely engaged by gas producers and developers of gas processing plants, gas pipelines, petrochemical plants and power plants as well as gas marketers and offtakers to advise on a variety of commercial agreements including gas sale and purchase agreements, gas transportation agreements, franchise agreements for gas distribution networks, gas processing agreements, gas balancing agreements, tie-in agreements and gas marketing agreements. We have also supported gas producers in developing strategies for commercialising their gas resources.
