Olajumoke is a seasoned commercial lawyer with a practice focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors. She was previously a core member of the project finance team of a leading commercial law firm in Nigeria, then advising clients across several practice areas, including banking and finance, infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets.
She has in the course of 13 years of commercial law practice developed a deep understanding of the contractual framework and deal dynamics of oil and gas industry projects and project finance transactions; and has acquired strong expertise in drafting, reviewing and negotiating oil and gas project development and financing documentation.
Olajumoke routinely advises on risk management and the bankability of projects in the oil and gas industry; and on a number of significant oil and gas infrastructure developments including integrated gas commercialization projects, acquisition of oil and gas assets, structured financing for energy projects, gas project conceptualization studies and regulatory matters.
She is part of the team that is advising the West African Gas Pipeline Company on the western interconnection project for the enlargement and extension of the West African Gas Pipeline – the first and only gas pipeline in West Africa constructed across 4 countries.
She is also part of the team providing support to the operator of an oil concession as it proposes to construct and lay a 49km pipeline across several fields located offshore and onshore the southern part of Nigeria.
She has advised on the gas supply agreement for the sale of lean gas to the promoter and operator of a liquefaction plant and several gas-fired power plants scattered across eastern Nigeria, amongst other gas sale and purchase agreements.
